Cyclone Nisarga: Priyanka Chopra Urges Fans To Stay Indoors And Safe; Akshay Kumar Says, '2020 Ajeeb Sa Saal Hai'
Every other morning of 2020 is adventurous as heck courtesy, a streak of back-to-back natural or man-made disasters, deaths and, of course, the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. And while we are yet to get over a lot of these, a dangerous cyclone, which goes by the name of Nisarga, is heading to the Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts this afternoon and is expected to make landfall at Alibaug, about 100 kilometers away from Mumbai. And to avoid as much damage as the Maharashtra government can, it has issued various guidelines and precautionary measures for everyone's safety. Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, too, are leaving no stone unturned in spreading awareness about the same. They took to their social media accounts and requested fans to stay indoors and abide by the guidelines.

Sharing a two-minute long video message, the Kesari actor stated how monsoons this year will be different for us, as the year 2020 is quite a weird one, as we are already undergoing a lot of crises. He then asked his followers to stay at home, stock up on essentials, avoid traveling and to not to believe in any rumour or circulate it. In the end, the actor motivated his followers by hailing the spirit of Mumbai and assuring that this too shall pass. "The much-awaited Mumbai rains are here but this year we have an uninvited guest, #CycloneNisarga! In case it does hit us, here are some precautions shared by @my_bmc, we will get through this as well. Praying for everyone’s well-being. For any queries and concerns regarding the cyclone, dial 1916 and press 4," read his caption.

As for Priyanka Chopra, the global star shared all the do's and don'ts issued by the government and prayed for Mumbai and its residents' safety. Her tweet read, #CycloneNisarga is making its way to Mumbai, my beloved home city of more than 20 million people, including my mom and brother. Mumbai hasn't experienced a serious cyclone landfall since 1891, and at a time when the world is so desperate, this could be especially devastating."
